Sometimes I imagine there's a place somewhere out there where human souls wash ashore like so many old bottles (and shoes) at Dead Horse Bay, to be carefully picked over among the dead crabs and manta rays by curiosity seekers and treasure hunters for resale in a crazy, cosmic Etsy or eBay.
