RBNY vs. Seattle Sounders FC, Red Bull Arena, Harrison, NJ. 1-0 victory!

RBNY vs. L.A. Galaxy, Red Bull Arena, Harrison, NJ.
Highly disappointing 1-0 loss, though it is pretty cool to see a match sell out. For once.

Red Bull New York vs. DC United, Red Bull Arena, Harrison, New Jersey.
A rather disappointing 0-0 draw against basement-dwelling DC, but we'll take the point.

Red Bull New York vs. Philadelphia Union, Red Bull Arena, Harrison, Jersey.
2-1 win! We are 4-1-0 for the season!
I know. I'm scared too. :p

RBNY vs. Chicago Fire, Red Bull Arena, Harrison, NJ.
Season opener, and my first match at the brand new arena.
Don't wanna know what's going on here. Chicago fans....
1-0 victory, off a powerful strike from new guy Lindpere, same guy who scored the very first goal at the stadium at the grand opener against Santos FC last weekend. Sweet start to the season, especially against Chicago, who for whatever reason have always been like RBNY kryptonite. New season, new team, new stadium, new spirit - dare we hope for great things again?

Red Bull New York vs. Toronto FC, Giants Stadium, Jersey.
The rain is pretty out of control.
Leave it to RBNY to wait until the very last game of the season, with no hope of even leaving the basement (let alone any post-season play) to have the match of the season. We win 5-0!
This is the very last match that RBNY is to play at the Meadowlands, as the brand-new Red Bull Arena in Harrison is receiving it's final touches as we speak. Now, being a relatively new fan of RBNY/Metro, I wouldn't be the one to speak about history. All I know is the new place looks cool, is TOTALLY easier to get to, has seating that is covered against the elements, won't have NFL logos and lines painted all over the "grass", actually has real grass, and already feels like "home".
And though the real grass will probably greatly reduce the number of training-related injuries, it will probably put an end to crazy-ass moments such as this:
Sunday, August 30, 2009
RBNY vs. Columbus Crew - it's a rematch of last year's championship match.
And with that, we win 1-0. That's two in a row!
Saturday, June 20, 2009
RBNY vs. Seattle Sounders, Giants Stadium, Jersey.
In the end, a 1-1 tie. 8-0-7, here we come!
Saturday, March 28, 2009
RBNY vs. New England Revolution, Meadowlands, NJ.
We're up 1-0 until literally the 90th minute, wherein the Revs equalize. NY gets a corner less than a minute later which everyone is sure goes in, but it doesn't. We walk away with a tie.
Between this match and last week's against Seattle, this season hasn't exactly been off to a rollicking start. And, a bit concerned about the next match, a week from tomorrow, against Chicago, against whom I can't recall that we've ever been able to win.
