Hey there--thanks for the comment re. my J. Blume post! I think you're right about the updated versions...it was true, anyway, in the version of "Margaret" that I read (but not enough to really annoy me). I think I held these books in such esteem growing up, that I grew to love the little retro details that they would have gotten rid of now...tainting my 'perfect as they were' books. Oh well...guess I'll just have to hang on to my old editions.
