Vienna Teng at (Le) Poisson Rouge, West Village...

...with special guests The Paper Raincoat (who were a bit twee, even for me)...

...and Ben Sollee, who plays the cello like it's a guitar and makes it do things I've never heard it do before.

Vienna's new CD, Inland Territory, is gorgeous and everyone deserves a listen. "Antebellum" enters definite song-of-the-year territory, though I also have a great soft spot for "Stray Italian Greyhound", especially after hearing her tell the story of its inception.

Priscilla catches Vienna after the show, and the two discuss the song "Augustine".
