There are only a few weeks before the Marriage Equality Bill (S:4401) is to be voted on in the New York State Senate, and we still have quite an uphill struggle, as you can see from this article:

http://ny1.com/content/top_stories/100119/-i-ny1-exclusive---i--survey-of-state-senators-shows-gay-marriage-bill-in-jeopardy/Default.aspx

In the next few weeks I urge each of you to please 1) go to http://www.broadwayimpact.com to find your Senator and his or her contact information, 2) call and email your Senator (especially if they are in the "undecided", "won't say", or "no" list in the NY1 article above) and ask them to please vote YES on this bill, 3) pass this message on to ANYONE you know in New York State who supports or might support this bill, and 4) just keep talking, blogging, twittering, facebooking, myspacing, and message boarding about this so that ANYONE who lives in New York State who might care about this issue knows exactly what they need to do in the next week or two. You never know where or when you will find support.

I genuinely appreciate your time and attention to this. If you've been indifferent to this issue before because it really doesn't have anything to do with your life (other than adding to the general happiness and positivity of New York, not to mention the potentially millions of dollars in tourism revenue that will pump up the local economy), please remember that this is something that personally and profoundly affects the life of at least one person that you know.

And give me a call if we haven't hung out in a while. :~)
